Previous to putting in an implant for any of my patients, I take time to survey the healthiness of their mouth and gums. I first make sure that these are healthy. If they leave something to be desired, we have to work on that before we can put in that dental implant. New Market dentist Fotolia_7158616_XS.jpg

If it's just a matter of a little blood on the gums, you will only need to swallow a couple of pills to correct the problem. But if there is a lot of gum eroded or removed, or when your chops have sustained an injury, we may have to take other measures before you can get your implants.

I have the option of using bone every so often to make the mounting location for the New Market dental implant root better equipped to hold it. Foundation stability is very important ahead of beginning the implant process. I think of it like building a house. We always double check to guarantee that the base is durable and can stand up to exterior pressures.

After we've completed any necessary repairs to the jaw, it's time to surgically attach the implant roots. Here in my New Market implant dentistry center, I take my time during this part of the procedure. What happens at this stage of the procedure will tell us if your implant will survive for a long time.

Once we're done, I will do a check up with my patients every now and again, so I can make sure that the jaw and tissues are taking in the implant as anticipated. I can do x-rays, resonance frequency analysis, or just old-fashioned palpation to see if the implant is firmly rooted. This will determine if I go to the next stage of adding the crown or if we should delay in order to give the foundation enough time to get strong.

When you come to see me at my New Market dental implant office, you'll notice that I take a great deal of care right from the start. I like to be sure that what I do and the crown you get will endure for many years to come.
