New Market Loose Dental Crown? Avoid Biting Down
When one of your dental crowns gets wobbly, it is essential that you stop biting or chewing with that tooth. If you put the whole force of your mouth behind it, your dental crown could come off in one piece. And that would not be a good thing.
You won't have much of a chance of having a foundation with much of your original root. Sometimes when a dental crown comes off, it will also take with it a great deal of your original and remnant tooth substance.
This is particularly factual if you inadvertently chomp on something firm, like popcorn kernels or other snack, a stiff piece of steak or something gluey.
If your crown is impermanent, then it shouldn't cause you too much grief if this comes to pass. You'll get your permanent crown very soon anyway. So, keep cool. Just try not to use the side with the New Market loose dental crown when you chew.
But if you've got an unstable dental crown that's permanent, then the best thing to do is call me immediately and plan to take a trip to New Market to my dental office. An unsteady permanent dental crown can definitely jeopardize your tooth root. Your original tooth will probably suffer irreparable damage if other matter falls off with the crown.
Until you have your appointment, only eat on the other side of your mouth and steer clear of solid food. This can be an effective dieting technique as well!
A permanent dental crown starts to feel unsteady when the glue erodes from its underside. That's where the dental crown comes together with the root base. As you eat and brush on a regular basis, more of the glue will fade and you may end up with a New Market loose dental crown.
