Two young people are sitting next to each other in the park. The chilly afternoon air is making the hair on his arms stand up. New Market dentist Fotolia_6875841_XS.jpg

He thinks, "I better get on with it." Goes down on one knee. Attempts to get the ring from his pocket. Lets it slip because he's got sauerkraut on his fingers.

The ring plummets to the ground…

He peeks up at her, not really having envisaged the clumsy unforeseen turn of events in his head. He is surprised to see the tears lining her cheeks. She gives him a firm hug and says in a soft voice, "Yes I will!"

Seems like an appropriate ending to a happily ever after story. But marriage is a continuing endeavor. It takes work to keep the fire burning. Most of us become lax after they've been married for a while. Ignorant of our partner's desire for spur of the moment romance. Whether they say it or not.

A little excitement here and there is important. Ultimate devotion is what marriage is made of. Taking that into consideration, let's try our best to go about bringing them pleasure. Short of learning to do tricks, we have to pull out all the stops to guarantee that they laugh (or smile at the least) daily.

Okay, so you say that you're the dullest person in the whole world. What you lack in wittiness, you can make up for by caring for your surroundings. Taking thought for them and yourself.

Yep, you heard me right. Take pains to spruce yourself up. Being a grandparent doesn't mean you get to look your age. Go to the grooming shop. Trim up your hair. Go to clothing stores. Buy clothes that give you that tasteful yet ageless look. Alter your appearance in some way.

Make an appointment to come to my New Market dentist office and you'll receive the makeover that will leave your spouse shivering with glee. When we get the New Market porcelain veneers put on, you'll look like you time traveled back to the day you fell in love. I'll sort out your teeth. You can look after everything else.
